Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Goma city for overnight
Travel to Goma city: On day 1 of the 5-Day 4 Nights Congo Chimpanzee and Gorilla Trek Safari Tour our company representative who is your safari guide will meet and pick you up from either your hotel in Kigali or direct from Kigali International Airport and be driven to Goma city in Congo for overnight sleep.
While in Goma, you will apply for a new Rwanda Visa that will be ready on your from Congo back to Rwanda. You will as well, obtain all the Gorilla trekking permits and Chimpanzee permits before heading to your lodge. Day 2: Congo Gorilla trek safari in Virunga National Park
1st Congo gorilla trekking safari tour in Virunga National Park: On day 2 of the 5-Day 4 Nights Congo Chimpanzee and Gorilla Trek Safari Tour, arise from the comfort of your bed for breakfast then be transferred to Bukima police patrol where you will meet other trekkers for a briefing before.
After the briefing, hire a porter and be led into the forest by the armed rangers and local guides as you walk via different trails in search of the gorilla family that has been habituated.
Spend almost 2-7 hours of a walk and upon finding the gorillas, you will spend just one hour of close interaction taking photographs of these gorillas and finally exit the forest to be driven back to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep as above at Mikeno lodge (Luxury option)/ Bukima tented camp (Mid-range option)/ Kibumba tented camp (budget option)

Day 3: Dr Congo Gorilla trekking safari in Virunga National Park
2nd Congo gorilla trekking safari tour in Virunga national park: Start day 3 of 5-Day 4 Nights Congo Chimpanzee and Gorilla Trek Safari Tour with an early breakfast at your lodge after which, your driver will be ready to transport you back to Bukima police patrol for briefing before returning into the forest for a 2nd gorilla trekking experience.
In case of any special request like a different gorilla family or any other thing that you need, ensure that you communicate in advance.
Then return to the forest for the same time just like the previous day though the time can change depending on different factors like the movement of gorillas and the trekking speed of the trekkers since you have to move in a group at the pace of the slowest person in the group.
