Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda (Entebbe Airport)

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport,t where you will be met by our safari guide. Transfer to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe for relaxation and a briefing about the safari.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park – En route Birding

Depart for Kibale Forest National Park with birding stops along the way. Enjoy sightings of savannah and wetland species before arriving at your lodge near the forest.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Birding in Kibale Forest

Early morning chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. Spend time observing chimpanzees in their natural habitat along with other primates and forest birds.

Afternoon visit to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for exceptional swamp birding and community cultural experience.

Day 4: Return to Kampala / Entebbe – Departure

After breakfast, drive back to Kampala or Entebbe with scenic stops along the way. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for departure.

    In the morning after brreakfast you will be picked by ultimate Wild Safaris driver guide to start your journey to Kibale Via Fort Portal and the pretty little town of Mubende set in rolling hills.

    Choice of a brief stop at Nakayima Shrine, a treasured tree known to be 400 years old, worshipped by local people and thought to be holding the spirit of an ancient king. Picnic lunch en route and continue to Kibale.Arrive late afternoon. Relax at lodge or explore nearby Crater Lake. [Approximate driving time: 6 hours].

    A forest walk for chimps and other primates playing through the forest. Birdlife is also fabulous, with over 300 species recorded in the forest. An afternoon walk in Bigodi wetland for birds and other primates which live around the swamp.
