Wildlife & Culture Tour
8 Days South Sudan Tour - Southern National Park
Overview
8-Day, 7-Night Southern National Park Wildlife Safari – South Sudan
Remote Wilderness & Cultural Experience with Mundari Cattle Camps
Explore one of Africa’s least-visited national parks and untouched landscapes.
This 8-Day Southern National Park Safari takes you deep into the wild heart of South Sudan, combining remote wildlife exploration with authentic cultural encounters among the Mundari people.
Why Choose This Safari?
Let’s be straightforward—this is not a typical Big Five safari like in Kenya or Uganda.
Instead, this experience is about:
- Exploring vast, untouched wilderness
- Traveling to a park few tourists have ever visited
- Discovering raw, off-the-grid Africa
- Combining wildlife exploration with Mundari cultural immersion
If you’re looking for exclusivity and adventure, this delivers.
About Southern National Park
One of Africa’s largest protected areas, Southern National Park covers over 20,000 km² of remote savannah, wetlands, and forest islands.
Key Features:
- Established in 1939
- Traversed by rivers like Sue, Ibba, and Gel
- Seasonal tall grasslands (up to 4–5 meters in wet season)
- Unique ecosystems including:
- Forest islands
- Granite outcrops
- Riverine habitats
Wildlife in Southern National Park
Historically, the park supported:
- Nile buffalo
- Elephants
- Giraffes (rare today)
- Giant eland
- Hartebeest & kob
- Lions
- Colobus monkeys

Reality check:
Wildlife viewing today can be unpredictable due to years of limited conservation and infrastructure. This safari is best suited for explorers—not guaranteed wildlife sightings seekers.
